Gawler Ranges Working Bee DIFFICULTY RATING EASY TO MEDIUM

Date: 17/04/2023 - 26/04/2023

The head Park Ranger of the Gawler Ranges National Park, Lindsey Brown, has brought our dates forward so that we can meet at Waltumba Camp Ground on the 19th of April. Those at the TriState at Morwell Victoria will travel straight to Kimba where we will meet up with everyone else on the 17th of April. We will then arrive at Waltumba Camp Ground on the 18th of April. Two or 3 from the Central Hills Club may be joining us. Lindsay's thoughts are that we spend from the 19th - 23rd at Waltumba and then drive down to Payne shearers quarters where we can stay and help with some tree planting from the 23rd to the 25th of April. After that we can spend some time in the Gawler Ranges and / or drive into Hiltaba Station and explore there. Some may need to return home. We will need to pay camp fees at Hiltaba. There are showers, a toilet and a kitchen there but no powered sites. No pets are allowed.
