Flinders Ranges Medium-Difficult

The trip starts at noon at Ediacara (Nilpena) National Park for a possible tour of the Fossil Field pending interest from the group and cost/tours made available. This is an optional visit, as you may otherwise choose to join the group later at the Copley Caravan Park for our first night's camp. 

After a Sunday morning shower and stocking up with Quandong pies at Copley, we will thereafter be camping in bush settings for the trip, visiting Nipapanha IPA, Narrina, Moolooloo and Alpana Stations - a shower block will be available to our group at Alpana on Day 6 (Thursday). 

The tracks planned will be easy to medium in general through to Thursday, however many of the (dry) creek crossings will require high clearance for entry and departure angles.

Friday and Saturday of the trip we will visit the Mt Samuel Track and the Mt Caernarvon Track. Both of these tracks have some sections that are rated as Difficult with some steep climbs required. 

Ediacara tour, Camping fees/permits, track access fees will apply to the areas being visited so budgeting between $350 -$500 will be required.

There is a trip limit of seven vehicles in total and no trailers and no pets.
